I’ve been loving all the letter boards I’ve been seeing around social media and really wanted one for Clara’s 8 month pictures. I had a specific vision in mind for the colors and size so I just decided to try to create my own. After some trial and error, I created my perfect version! Want to make one too?? What’s great about creating your own is that not only is it more cost efficient but you can totally customize it with your perfect size and favorite colors! This letter board cost me a total of $20!
Step One: Cut dowels down to the size of your frame
**I used a piece of framed art (similar) which worked out to be the perfect depth to place the dowel inside**
Step Two: Cut felt about 7/8” wide x the measurement length of your dowel. I used rotary cutter but you could also use scissors.
Step Three: Hot glue the felt strips around each dowel.
**My frame was 11×9 and I used 35 dowels**
Step Four: Place felt covered dowels snuggly inside frame. You could glue them down, but I found that mine fit snug enough to just stay put.
**I spray painted some of the letters and numbers gold**
